Front End Developer

Up to £45,000 p.a.
Full-time, permanent, Bradford office-based or Remote (UK)

This is an opportunity to join the UK's, longest standing, and leading cyber security full-service provider. As part of our ongoing growth, ECSC Group plc is expanding its Development team to include an additional Front End Developer.

We are currently working remotely given the pandemic restrictions, however once we return to the office, we are open to the role being office-based, remote-based or a combination of the two.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Development Manager, the Front End Developer will be responsible for:

  • Working on state of the art client facing security dashboards and portals.
  • Improving and maintaining UI for existing products.
  • Guiding decisions on UI design.
  • Staying up to date with the newest technologies.
Joining our Labs team is not just about meeting deadlines, it's also about a thirst for learning and creating state of the art technology. You will be actively encouraged to learn and develop your skills.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2 years experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
  • UI/UX design
  • WVersion control (Git)
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar (advantageous but not essential)
  • Experience in Grafana and D3.js (advantageous but not essential)

Infrastructure Manager

£40,000 - £50,000 p.a.(depending on experience)
Full-time, permanent, Bradford office-based (UK)

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Manager, either within cyber security, network services or IT? Do you want to further your career by joining the exciting, fast-growing area of cyber security?

This is an opportunity to join the UK's, longest standing, and leading cyber security full-service provider. As part of our ongoing growth (our Managed Services Division grew 48% in 2019), ECSC Group plc is expanding its technical team to include an Infrastructure Manager with responsibility for the management of ECSC's infrastructure and systems (largely Linux based). Whilst beneficial, previous experience in cyber security is not a requirement.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Labs Manager, the Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for:

  • Management of ECSC infrastructure and systems throughout their lifecycle, inc. maintenance, asset inventory/tracking, availability of servers, networking, telephony, cabling within all data centres, server rooms and offices
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) and Backups - ensuring ECSC's critical systems are able to recover within expected recovery time objectives in the event of unexpected outages
  • Line management of a Technical Support Engineer, inc. performance monitoring, personal development, training
  • End user IT support processes and communication
  • 2nd line technical escalation for responding to issues relating to ECSC services, including participation in out-of-hours rota
  • Technical ownership of IT supplier relationships liaising closely with the Finance team to ensure services being provided are appropriate and value-for-money, ensuring they meet the needs of the business

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 years of relevant IT management (people and/or systems) responsibility for a technology company (headcount of 100+)
  • Strong Linux (preferably Red Hat/CentOS) system administration skills and relevant qualifications (such as RHCE) demonstrating competence in this critical area
  • Strong networking experience and knowledge
  • Experience of virtualisation technologies
  • Advantageous to have knowledge of orchestration/automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Cyber security mindset, and understanding of fundamentals of securing a system and network
  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload and multi-task
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with an ability to translate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Lead Infrastructure Tester

The Role

Reporting directly to the Testing Service Director, the Lead Infrastructure Tester will be responsible for:

  • Client Engagements: applying established ECSC processes in order to provide high quality deliverables to our clients; working alongside Lead Consultants in delivering client engagements. Building client relationships
  • Colleague Development: sharing skills and knowledge
  • Service Development: contributing to service development activities and identifying/raising potential improvements to Service Directors; identifying future sales opportunities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ideally CREST Certified Infrastructure Tester or equivalent
  • OSCP/OSCE/CRT, desirable but not essential
  • Able to lead complex consulting projects, often managing a team of testers to deliver quality testing services
  • Able to act and communicate professionally with clients
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

PA to CEO & Managed Services Sales Team

Up to £32,000 p.a. depending on experience

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, as part of our growth in managed services, this new role is to support the CEO and the small managed services field sales team. Typical duties will include:

  • Diary management
  • External email screening
  • Attending internal meetings, coordinating paperwork and taking minutes
  • External meeting management
  • Travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Collation and preparation of expenses claims
  • Maintaining the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, updating as required following field sales meetings

Required Skills & Experience

  • Solid Director/Senior Management level PA experience
  • Experience in managing multiple diaries
  • Competent in taking minutes; accurate capture of the key points and agreed actions, and subsequent follow up of the actions
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient IT skills
  • A confident and effective communicator over the phone, face to face and via email
  • Professional attitude and approach to work
  • Self-motivated and pro-active

The Role

Reporting directly to the SOC Manager, you will:

  • Maintain the security of our clients' systems, and help the team to protect, detect and respond to security incidents
  • Understand how threat attacks to clients' systems can be applied, detected and defended against through continuous learning and skills development
  • Perform research and analysis of threat attacks as they are played out
  • Develop responses to attacks and communicate these to the client within SLAs
  • Continuously develop and adapt the systems that we build and manage to ensure they maintain security in the face of new threats to, and changes in, the clients' environments

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar cyber security role
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity threats, attacks. Knowledge of target systems
  • Understanding of modern computer networking
  • Knowledge in key functional areas including TCP/IP networking, Linux Operating Systems, iptables firewalling, Ossec/Wazuh, Squid, Apache, Nginx, postfix, Snort, Suricata, Bro, Modsecurity
  • Scripting and secure configuration of systems
  • Security management of other systems including Windows, Cisco is also desirable
