Business Development Executive - Cyber Security

£25k-£40k + car, with £50k-£75k OTE
Full-time, permanent, remote (Southern-based in UK)

If you've spent at least a year in a new business or sales development role, and are seeking an exciting opportunity to develop your career, we want to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK's, longest standing, leading cyber security provider. As part of our ongoing growth, ECSC Group plc is expanding the sales team to include an additional Business Development Executive. Whilst beneficial, previous experience in cyber security, network services or IT, is not a requirement.

This is a new business and business development role dealing with clients of all sizes and from all sectors. You will join a successful sales team that is supported by an ongoing training programme and an active telemarking team whose principle role is to help you book meetings.

The role is field based (although, of course, most of our meetings are currently taking place over Zoom).

The Role

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will::

  • Grow and develop the relationship with new and existing clients through regular and consistent engagement
  • Show a passion to help new and existing clients by understanding their needs and requirements
  • Be responsible for achieving sales performance targets
  • Provide the management team with accurate activity reports, client information and forecasting
  • Work closely with the marketing and internal sales support teams to maximise sales performance and client acquisition
  • When, and where, appropriate travel throughout the UK

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1 year sales experience in a new business or sales development role
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to identify and close business
  • Well developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to to understand (sometimes complex) client needs, translate these into viable service offerings, and articulate solutions to all levels
  • Motivated and a willingness to learn
  • Whilst an awareness of cyber security would be useful, it is not essential

Senior Linux Engineer

Up to £50,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time, permanent, Bradford office-based (UK)

Are you an experienced Senior Linux Engineer, either within cyber security, network services or IT? Do you want to further your career by joining the exciting, fast-growing area of cyber security?

This is an opportunity to join the UK’s, longest standing, and leading cyber security full-service provider. As part of our ongoing growth (our Managed Services Division grew 48% in 2019), ECSC Group plc is expanding its technical team to include a Senior Linux Engineer with responsibility for the management of ECSC’s infrastructure and systems (largely Linux based). Whilst beneficial, previous experience in cyber security is not a requirement.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Labs Manager, the Senior Linux Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Management of ECSC infrastructure and systems throughout their lifecycle, inc. maintenance, asset inventory/tracking, availability of servers, networking, telephony, cabling within all data centres, server rooms and offices
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) and Backups - ensuring ECSC's critical systems are able to recover within expected recovery time objectives in the event of unexpected outages
  • Line management of a Technical Support Engineer, inc. performance monitoring, personal development, training
  • End user IT support processes and communication
  • 2nd line technical escalation for responding to issues relating to ECSC services, including participation in out-of-hours rota
  • Technical ownership of IT supplier relationships liaising closely with the Finance team to ensure services being provided are appropriate and value-for-money, ensuring they meet the needs of the business

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 years experience in managing IT systems in a technology focussed company
  • Strong Linux (preferably Red Hat/CentOS) system administration skills and relevant qualifications (such as RHCE) demonstrating competence in this critical area
  • Strong networking experience and knowledge
  • Experience of virtualisation technologies
  • Advantageous to have knowledge of orchestration/automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Cyber security mindset, and understanding of fundamentals of securing a system and network
  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload and multi-task
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with an ability to translate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Line management or technical mentoring of team members is preferable

Senior Technical Sales Engineer

Up to £45,000 p.a. (depending on experience)

Are you a client-facing cyber security specialist?

This is an opportunity to join the UK's, longest standing, and leading, cyber security full-service provider. As part of the ongoing growth (Managed Detection & Response (MDR) division growth typically 30% per year), ECSC Group plc is expanding its UK Security Operations Centre (SOC) team to include a client-facing pre-post sales consultant. This is giving technical support to the managed services sales team, not a fee-earning consulting role.

The Role

Reporting directly to the SOC Labs Manager,you will be a primary point of technical contact for MDR clients, focussing on:

  • Pre-sales technical support for the managed services sales team
  • Pre-sales client technical scoping and solutions requirements gathering
  • Supporting the ECSC Labs Solutions Architects to design/refine client solutions
  • Helping clients through initial solutions implementation
  • Supporting ongoing sales account, and service delivery, client meetings

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a general IT role, having a broad understanding of typical organisations' use of technology
  • A keen interest in cyber security
  • Excellent client-facing skills, in both listening, and explaining in clear concise language
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and managerial functions.

Software Developer

We are currently working remotely given the pandemic restrictions, however once we return to the office, we are open to the role being office-based, remote-based or a combination of the two.

Reporting directly to the Development Manager, the Software Developer will be responsible for:

  • Developing software including state of the art client facing security dashboards and portals.
  • Improving and maintaining existing products.
  • Testing and releasing software.
  • Staying up to date with the newest technologies.
Joining our Labs team is not just about meeting deadlines, it's also about a thirst for learning and creating state of the art technology. You will be actively encouraged to learn and develop your skills.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 years+ experience with React and PHP
  • Exposure to Linux
  • Version control (Git)
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar (advantageous but not essential)
  • Experience in NodeJS and Symfony (advantageous but not essential)
