As a rapidly growing company in a dynamic sector, ECSC is always interested in hearing from individuals who are keen to develop their skills and knowledge in cyber security. We have a range of roles in our Security Operations Centre, along with other field-based opportunities.
At present, ECSC has a dedicated in-house recruitment department and, as such, we are not looking to engage the services of any third-party recruiters at this time. We will update this page should this change in the future.
We are a hardworking team with a professional ethos/approach, but we also realise the importance of a good company culture and keeping our staff happy. We have fresh fruit available daily in the office, quarterly company-wide development days, and regular social events throughout the year. Our staff are kept up to date with the latest goings-on through our quarterly newsletter and the staff Intranet.
As well as a great company culture and opportunities for career progression, we offer a generous package including:
- 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Private healthcare scheme
- Exclusive employee rewards scheme
- Fresh fruit available daily in the office
What Our Staff Say
Don't just take our word for it, here are some of the responses from our latest staff engagement survey, when we asked what ECSC is good at:
Finding and retaining great people is central to our success and continued growth strategy. As a company, we have strong values and are clear about our vision, and it is therefore imperative that we attract, develop and retain skilled and motivated individuals who share this vision and embody our values. Our people thrive on the challenge presented by our fast-paced environment and the variety in what we do.
I'm very proud of the team we have built and I am excited about what we can achieve together in the future.

Being a consultant with ECSC is a truly rewarding role. The wide variety of clients, and the type of assistance that they require, means that you will be challenged every day, and will get every opportunity to develop your knowledge, skills and experience. While you will be trusted as an information security professional to make your own decisions, should you not have an answer, you have the backup of all your colleagues who together hold a wealth of expertise across all information security disciplines, and will be happy to help with whatever you need.
Even though ECSC is growing fast, you'll be joining a tight-knit group who treat their staff as people, not just as a resource, and will support you at all times during your employment.
- Andy, ISO Consultant
I am currently on student placement at ECSC and I highly recommend the company to anyone who is looking to break into the security sector; I've gained an enormous amount of knowledge over the past 10 months. Being a security company, the primary OS we use is Linux, I believed I had good knowledge of Linux until I started; however, now I would definitely class myself as being a proficient Linux user.
Another skillset which I have grown over the past year is my networking skills; I come from a programming background and have avoided networking for a long time. Coming into a business which protects client networks was scary at first but now I feel confident in diagnosing issues around the subject.
In terms of opportunities and knowledge to be gained, I would say ECSC is probably one of the best companies to work for. Every day varies in your tasks aside from the standard analysing of networks and monitoring systems. There are paths into incident response, penetration testing, security reviews, senior engineer roles and PCI/ISO consulting - We do everything security related. If you put the work in, you will be rewarded!

I joined ECSC in December 2015 and it was the best decision I have ever made. When I started my apprenticeship, I knew very little about cyber security, but ECSC helped train and teach me the skills and knowledge necessary to become a security analyst. My apprenticeship has started my career in the industry and I can see myself staying with ECSC for many more years to come. Some advice for anybody thinking about apprenticeships with ECSC is to just apply. It will be the best decision you will make.
